WOW! I was at their concert and I fell absolutely in love with Cooder's music!!! It's unbelievably positive and nice rythms. Now they have one more fan in Russia!!

This album "Wake Up" has to be the finest album released in the "Texas Country Music" scene in quite a while. I have been a listener of this genre for a few years now and have remained rather unimpressed by what many think is better country music than Nashville. It's usually not as cheesy as Nashville at best. Cooder Graw's version of this state's homegrown music is original, creative, and something I am proud to call Texan. You must buy this CD if you want to know how it can be done in this great state of ours. Maybe you've been asleep or drugged by the "other guys'" attempts. Take this opportunity to WAKE UP and buy your copy of Cooder Graw's latest and greatest CD. You won't regret it.

Just heard a copy of "Wake Up." Some of the best stuff, I've heard in Years. You put this on your Car CD player and head west on a 2 lane Texas highway, you'll drive into the pacific ocean before you want to stop driving and listening. Songs that mean something, song that touch the soul of what Texas really is, and it does it in a poetic and powerful way. THere's a song called "Crystal" outwardly about a girl, but it's about using Crystal Meth. If you ever think about using, listen to this song first. "She'll hit you in the nose and knock out your teeth."

What can be said about Cooder Graw that has not already been mentioned in these reviews? I have been to a ton of shows, from Gilley's in Dallas to Blaine's Pub in San Angelo and almost everywhere in between, and I can honestly say Cooder Graw gets better every time I see them. With many performers, if you've seen one concert, you've seen them all. The playlists are all the same, and even the banter between songs seems scripted. This is NOT the case with Cooder Graw. Matt' lyrics and stage presence connect the audience with the band immediately, and the outstanding musicians in the band keep everyone within earshot riveted to the Loud Country. Kelly Test is an absolute master of the drums, while Paul Baker plays the bass like it's on fire. "Buffalo" Nick Worley is a genuis with the fiddle, and any attempts to describe Kelly Turner's unbelievable guitar playing would never do him justice. If you see no other Texas music live this year, go see Cooder Graw. You WILL be hooked. Their new CD - "Wake Up" will be released October 19. This may be the album that blasts Cooder into the national spotlight. No band deserves it more; these men and their crew are the hardest-working, most genuine, friendliest people I have ever had the great pleasure of meeting. In a small way, I will be sad to see them become world famous. I am sure they will never forget their Texas roots, but I am not looking forward to the day I won't be able to drive a couple of hours and see their awesome show for 8 bucks. On the other hand, When Cooder Graw does make it big and fills the stadiums across the nation, you can bet I'll be in the crowd every chance I get, singing every word to every song. Best Live show in Texas and they don't sound like anyone else, but themselves. They have a new CD coming out in September and I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
