This guy also is a great success in the business world. He's a top level executive. Good music and business savy. But Wayne, I wouldn't be expecting huge things out of him. Really don't think it will ever happen. Don't think he expects it either.
Stopped by Hondo's On Main in Fredericksburg for dinner one Friday evening. To our surprise, there was free entertainment that night. It was Thomas Michael Riley. I asked, "Who's that."
After sitting through 2 sets I was hooked. I've followed several Texas artists but had never come across Riley until now. I came home, jumped on lonestarmusic.com and ordered all 3 of Riley's CDs. This guy is not only a talented songwriter but has a voice that should take him far. Let me know when the next album is released...
If you bought Gary P Nunn's new CD, you pretty much bought this one. Thomas seems to have written just about every song on Nunn's new disc. Wild Town Texas is one of the best CD's I own. This guy has one of the best voices in the business and he is a true Texas songwriter. You will not be disappointed with either of his releases to date. He is also good in person and puts on an entertaining show. I cannot imagine this guy stays hidden for too long.
Thomas Michael Riley is the best kept secret on the Texas Music scene - Action Magazine.
