I'm actually liking the Greatest Hits album line up. Most of those songs are so under-rated by Texas Music fans, that the true awesomeness of the story-telling is forgotten. Seriously, on one side you have people who want "beer-drinking, girl-loving, rowdy and proud, Texan til I die" music, and then you have people who just want to hear a good story.
Armadillo Jackal for example, is an awesome, and kinda funny story, if you just listen to it. Truly, one of his most forgotten songs, that I actually really enjoy. The way REK can tell a story is just phenomenal.
Evidently, Kyle's vision is limited to only those songs he likes and not to songs that are considered great by the true REK fans. Hey Kyle...I got an idea...buy West Textures, A Bigger Piece of Sky or Gringo Honeymoon if you want all of those songs on the same album. Truth is, if you don't have CDs from Robert's earlier days, then you're probably not a true REK fan anyways...just a typical spoiler that's so weak he feels that finally he has a voice...so you abuse it by giving a true artist a bad review.
Robert, you and your music will always be a staple for the Texas roudy and proud. Thanks for always having something new to listen to...even if it is a Greatest Hits. You know, just like Willie, you could write anything you want to at this point. You've made a name for yourself already.
Since basically Robert Earl has become the biggest nostalgia act in Texas country (he's released 3 live albums and 3 best-ofs, all in the last 3 years), and since this album is called "Best" but really doesn't contain his best material at all, I thought it would be appropriate to put out and album called "Worst". It would have to be a double album, and will contain all of the songs from "Farm Fresh Onions" and "Gravitational Forces", and maybe throw in another bonus live album, since he doesn't have very many, and then his transformation into boring hack will be complete.

Oh great! Another "Best of" with repeats like, "Merry Christmas from the family". Robert, for God's sake, PLEASE get some new material.
REK Live At The Ryman - - Love the DVD great combination of his music. I am sure anyone would enjoy this DVD.
