By far the best album this year and maybe since charlies good times. Hayes is firing on all cylinders

Hayes, I am very disappointed in your recent decision to back out on your obligation to play The Rowdy Float Trip. I understand the music business (been there done that) but this is Texas where a man's word is everything. Did you forget already? Can you remember when music was not just a business? first album of hayes carll i own.... wow

I enjoy Hayes's first 2 Cd's but this one WOW. Both the lyrics and music show such growth. This will be in my Cd player for a long long time. If you haven't heard him now's the time. You are not taking a chance buying this it's a sure thing. Thanks Hayes and I hope to see you up in Canada again soon.

I read a review of the new LP(review by Christgau, maybe) on a Friday, listened to the album on free napster the same day, and went out to buy the CD that night. It's terrific.
