Kevin, keep kicking A..!!!!
Kevin Fowler is one of the hottest Texas song writers on the scene. With so many wanna-be's crowding the stage today, its great to hear some original work thats true to Texas. 100% Texan...loud and proud!
This man is gonna be huge. I'm tellin' yall!!!!!!!!!!!
I heard the 'Beer, Bait, and Ammo' cd after a concert in Egypt. I am in the US military and Armed Forces Entertainment brought us a band called 'Octane 7' who played the CD after the concert. It was awesome and I talked to Curtis the sound man. He recommended me to this site and it is awesome!
Kevin knows how to play to his audience. He interacts with them and we love it! Not only that, but he is a great story teller and honky tonk music maker. Love his shows and his humor. Keep it up Kevin.
I think that Kevin Fowler Kicks A** he is an original and I think that he has what its got to make it big and I hope that he does! I have seen him a million times and if you haven't you need to!
If you like genuine Texas country/honky tonk music, Kevin Fowler and his band are the real deal and as good as it gets. Kevin's melodies make you want to dance and his songwriting is among the best today – crisply and cleverly capturing situations and emotions to which everyone can relate. Several songs have potential to become classics within the genre. Kevin also is an extremely talented live entertainer. On stage, he is high energy, heart-felt, fun, and funny (in a wise-guy kind of way), and knows how to work his audience. Catch Kevin and his band live now whenever you can, especially in small intimate venues -- like The Broken Spoke -- because it's only a matter of time before this huge talent gets picked up by a major label and goes national.
I recently purchased the "Beer, Bait, and Ammo" cd after hearing the song, "Speak of the Devil" on the radio. Although this and the title song are getting all of the airplay, every song on this cd is a winner. My personal favorite is the Western Swing flavored "Butterbean". If you like traditional Texas Country music, this is the cd for you.
I read his bio and it sounds to me like he didn't hack in a rock band and decided to see if he could completely change his image from big hair rocker to down home picker. Was he trying to ride the wave of new Texas music and be a fake, a poser? Don't Know maybe he just came to his senses or layed off the crack. Oh well, I do like the speak of the devil song though. Story sounds fishy but if he can come up with some good music and be somewhat real about it more power to him.
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally bought it after looking at it for a while. A whole lot more than expected...really good, honky-tonk, beer drinkin' music!
A must buy!!!
