I saw Jack in concert about a month back, and I have to say that I was HIGHLY disappointed.
He seemed to be drunk or on something. He was slurring his words, and he couldn't even stand up straight. The singing was even WORSE!!!
We actually got up and left about 1/3 through the concert. Several other people did the same..
I love country music and I have been to several country concerts. This was BY FAR the worst concert I have even been to in my life.
His CD is OKAY, but not worth spending your $$ on..
Also, definately don't waste your $$ on a live show by him.. AWFUL...

I was willing to give Jack the benefit of the doubt that he wouldn't go the Pat Green route. There are a few vintage Jack songs on the new CD and some throways, but I had hope the old Jack would be back. After seeing the youtube clip of Jack prancing around on stage in the exterminator suit while Brad Paisley sings his ticks song I've given up. How pathetically sad and humiliating. Why Jack why?
Hey Cujo, which is it? You say he's not a sell-out, then you say he's not writing the songs he wants to. That makes a lot of sense! I got news for you. A sell-out is someone who does things that OTHERS want, and not necessarily what he wants. Quit trying to justify poop. There's a whole wack of these artists doing this. If they choose to go this route that's their business, as long as they don't try and tell people (like Pat Green) that they're not selling out! At least be honest about it. Last time I saw Jack, he was dressed in a fumagator suite chasing two people dressed as big bugs on stage with Brad Paisley (see on youtube.com). That is pretty sad.
Enough of this 'sell out' talk! Jack has been through the ringer before with major labels. He's learned some lessons and I know he knows he has to do things 'their' way for the time being, but after a while, he'll be doing things 'his' way again. And if you think Jack has 'sold out', you should see one of his shows. It's the same whether there are 15 people there or 15,000. At any rate, I'm still a little disappointed in the CD, would've liked to seen more Jack written songs, but you can't go wrong with Radney Foster's and Blu Sanders' writing. That being said, it's no wonder I like "Measure of a Man", "Hold On", "Ava Adele" and "Great Divide" as my favorite tracks on the CD.
