Album Review
I cant believe you people call your self "fans" of Pat Green. Ill agree some of these songs are a bit slower, and uncharacteristic, but this is a great album. The words in the songs are so great, just like every other Pat cd. They tell great stories, and I'm sure all of us can realate to most of them. I haven't taken the cd out of my cd player since the day it came out. Chalk it up as another great one from Pat!!!!!

Pat has obviously lost alot of his fans after releasing Wave on Wave and now Lucky Ones. He says the reason he signed with the record company was because they let him do what he wants to and make his own music. The stuff on this cd does not sound like pat green at all. It's just another product from nashville. If the record label let him do what he wanted to, then why didnt he have his band play on this cd. This cd may be ok but it is nothing compared to what pat used to sing. The best cd pat has ever done would have to be Live at Billy Bob's Texas, back when his Texas fans were enough for him. Now he's out there trying to make money instead of staying true to his music.

Wow, words cant explain how dissapointed I am. Come back to Texas Pat. Who knows, you might even remeber what an accoustic guitar is.

By FAR the worst album from Pat Green ever. I am really disappointed in this album. What made Pat great was his original music and original style. This is cooker cutter nashville junk. Bring back the old Pat. Nashville has ruined another one.

At first I thought this CD was terrible, but then I listened to it this last weekend over a couple of beers, and I heard a totally different set. The words are awesome and the sound is great. Give it a chance and I think you'll have a hard time taking it out of your CD player.

Next time Pat, put a little effort into your work. This CD is awful. The best song is the one by Ingram and he is no special talent himself. This is the last CD of yours I will ever buy, I wish I could return it.

Sorry, just doesn't do it for me. Just cause songs were written by ____ or co-written with ____ doesn't make it good. Case in point: Bruce Robison. Check to see who's singing songs he's already written and recorded... "Angry all the time" "Travellin Soldier" ??? I like his versions far better than Tim McGraws' and Dixie Chicks' (but Llyod Maines is still a great guy). I don't know, maybe it's that gritty sense of the old albums. The sour chords, the off vocals, etc that gives the music it's life and beauty. I mean, it's more live, you get a feel like they are truly playing. This new album is too 'produced' for me. Too much slick work on the boards. too all the people wondering why i took the time to write a 'not so nice' review. I don't want everybody surfing this site to be tricked into purchasing this album without hearing all the HONEST opinions and being disappointed. sorry, it's a free country and i can voice mine too, even if it's not a popular one. get over it. he may not have sold out, but his music has!
