This is not the Kevin Fowler we are all used to, but there is enough fiddle and steel guitar that his Texas sound is not lost. The songs are still catchy and humorous like the older material on his other albums, but you just here a little Nashville. I will still buy it and love it, but STAY WITH YOUR ROOTS, that is what got you here.

I live in Arizona, and think that this sounds like it's going to be an awesome composite of cool tunes, even if every other song isn't about the "great state"! (Trashville)you've got to be kidding!? Kevin you rock~ good luck with the new album.

I'm from Oklahoma originally, western Oklahoma. I have always loved Kevin and have loved his music. I agree with some of the reviews, he's definitely taken his music more "mainstream" and more "Nashville" but as an owner of all of his albums and after hearing the track snippets, this album is going to be incredible! Sure, it's not as "traditional" and as "raw and unpolished" as his former projects, but it's still Kevin and it still has plenty of fiddle and steel on the tracks and that same fender tele sound that all of his albums have. It may take some time to warm up to this album for former die-hard fans, but just give it a chance. Kevin needs more national distribution and recognition, and if leaning a little further towards Nashville helps him get the chance that he needs to do something on a larger scale, while still sticking to his guns and keeping his music "him", then all the power to him.

Nashville Sucks what ever happen to the old guys like pat and cory when they used to say nashville sucks and they would never go there now they have and they have lost the REAL fans who got them where they are today cause most of the people i know who listend to pat and cory when they were true texas artist Hate them now because its not texas music its nashville crap so Keep it texas not Trashville

Why Klyde? Because you don't agree with that? Firts of all, I didn't "rag" on anyone. I just gave an opinion on the music. Second, America, last time I checked, is still a country founded in freedon of speech. What you're saying is that it's ok to say something, but only if you agree with it. Stick to giving reviews on the music and keep your low-self-esteem to yourself.

hey bt cat. i understand that some texas bands cant resist the nashville lights. i am dissapointed in some of them. but what's with raggin on rrb?? they are the best in the biz!! not sure what led you to say that, but you probably should think twice before raggin on the rrb.
