Brett Hauser has lived his life in as many as a dozen towns & cities accross Texas & Oklahoma always finding his passion for words & song as an anchor to hold on to during his travels.
Just as it has happened to generations before him, Hauser's songwriting journey took a major turn the minute he stepped foot into an old dancehall in San Marcos, TX--Cheatham St Warehouse (summer of 2011.) Founder Kent Finlay, who over the years has earned quite the track record for developing young artists, has greatly influenced the way Hauser approaches songwriting as well as music all together.
The lyrics to his song "Gypsy Sound" were mentioned in the 2012 September/ October edition of American Songwriter Magazine. The song has since been released (iTunes, Spotify, Google Music) as his first single on the soon-to-be released debut album "A Little More Time".
Today Hauser spends his time writing & making the musical rounds throughout Texas, while coming back to Cheatham St twice a month on Tuesday nights to play his residency slot in the town he calls home.
