Casey's soon to be released CD is truly a mixture of what makes Texas music great. It covers all of the bases from a good ol' hard wood floor stomper to a Texas style road-trip tune, and does it without missing a beat! An impressive cast of characters has been assembled to lend their support to this CD. Such folks as the larger-than-life Ray Benson from "Asleep at the Wheel" singing and playing guitar, the legendary Lloyd Maines on steel guitar, and lead guitar licks complements of John Inmon, formerly with the Lost Gonzos, and east coast rocker Mary Cutrufello. Along with T-roy Miller providing the Dobro. And, lest we not forget, one of Dallas' favorite son's Max Stalling, providing harmony back-up vocals. Casey;s long anticipated debut CD is set for release in 2004! It's been a long and twisted road that's got him to where he is today. Casey was born in Texarkana and soon after his family headed west. His high school days were spent in what used to be a small town between Dallas and Fort Worth, called Grapevine. When it came time to pick a college, he headed west again, this time to Lubbock. When asked why, he usually says "...because they had a cartoon character for a mascot, and I thought that was pretty cool". The influences of his time spent in the different regions of Texas can be heard in the songs that he writes and sings. From the traditional blue-grass influences of his east Texas childhood to his time spent on the caprock and at "Bob Wills' Days". Casey picked up a guitar for the first time when he was nine years old but his playing, writing, and performing outside of his living room did not beging until his early years of college at Texas Tech. After a short run in some of the local bars, Casey (with the help of his academic advisors 0 made the difficult decision to put his music on hold and concentrate on finishing school. After graduating from Tech with a Business degree and later from Texas Wesleyan University with his Law Degree, he picked up that same guitar in 2002 and returned to his music. Now based out of north central Texas, Casey and the band are steadily making the rounds ans with the upcoming CD, they arepoised to be the next big thing on the Texas Music Scene.
