Chad Hammock began his music career in 2003 when he recorded his first original single with Hat Creek Records out of Waxahachie, TX. The album that followed was a collection of original tunes both full band and acoustic, along with a previously unreleased song titled "Midnight Train," written by Cody Canada of Cross Canadian Ragweed, and a cover of Steve Earle's Copperhead Road. The album was appropriately titled Rough Cuts and received some radio play throughout Texas. Chad was featured as Artist of the Week two weeks in a row on L.A.'s Hot Country Internet Radio Station, and has also made in-studio appearances on 99.5 The Wolf's Front Porch Show w/ Justin Frazell, 106.9 The Ranch's Texas Country Cafe, and Aggie 96.1's Texas Crossroads with Chris Austin. Chad and guitarist Austin Desguin met in late 2006 and began playing acoustic shows together. Austin and drummer Miles met through a student organization at A&M in mid 2007 and the three, with bassist Greg Wilson played their second show as a band at the Texas Hall of Fame in Bryan, TX as an opener for Charlie Robison. Jorge would take the reigns at bass guitar in early 2008, not long after the band first took to the studio. The band has begun to develop a resume, setting the stage for acts like Stoney Larue, Wade Bowen, No Justice, Ray Wylie Hubbard, or Jack Ingram and are beginning to make a name for themselves at venues like Schotzi's and the Hall of Fame in Bryan/College Station, the Firehouse Saloon in Houston, and the Red Moon Cafe in Ennis. You may have also seen the guys on the bill at events like Kyle Hunt's Summer Kickoff, Music for Mika 3, the Austin Rodeo ahead of Stoney and Willie Nelson, or the Brazos Biker Bash in Cameron Park. Each member of the band has his own influences which they attempt to mesh into their writing and shows. If you ask one of the guys who they are listening to right now you might hear anything from the Beatles to Bob Dylan, the Allman Brothers to Aerosmith, Skynyrd to Seger, or even Del Amitri, Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, the Rolling Stones, Molly Hatchet, Matchbox 20, Government Mule, Storyville, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gavin Degraw, John Mayer, Lyle Lovett or many more. At live shows they pour as many of these elements as they can into what has developed into their own, original sound and performance.
