Hi, My name is Chad Richard and I'm from Vinton, Louisiana. A cool little town right on the Louisiana/Texas state line. I grew up there then crossed the Sabine river shortly after high school and have lived in Texas since. My music is greatly influenced by the rich culture of these two awesome states. I write songs and sing and play guitar. Not always in that order. My music is Americana. A mix of influences from Country, Blues, Folk, Cajun, and R&B.
  I grew up around all these influences. My Dad had a big band and played all the clubs and honkytonks in Southwest Louisiana and Southeast Texas when I was growing up. Like my Father, I too started playing these same places early in life with my own band. These days it's just me and my guitar. I like that!
  I've made many wonderful friends through music. That's what it's all about. To me anyway. That human connection. I've been very blessed to play and work with some great folks and even some of my heroes over the years. 
  Today, I'm just trying to write a better song and playing them every chance I get.
