Charlie Montague VI has emerged on the Texas Music scene with an explosive
impact. Charlie's first CD, self titled, Charlie Montague, was released in
June of 2010. The single, "Tomorrow's Gone" hit the Texas Music Charts in
the Fall of 2010 followed by "The Judge's Daughter."
Music is literally in Charlie's blood. His grandfathers, Jimmy Russell
and Frank Montague, Jr. formed the 14 piece swing band known as the
Stompeders in the 1940s. Growing up in a ranching family in the little
town of Bandera, Texas, Charlie was always surrounded by music. Family
functions, which range from 200-500 in attendance, were and never are shy
of music.
In the summer of 2010, Charlie debuted his passion for telling stories
through songs and using his God-given talent on the stage of 11th street bar in his hometown of Bandera. Since then, Charlie has traveled Texas sharing his love of singing. He has opened for artists such as Kevin Fowler, Reckless Kelly, Roger Creager, Charlie Robison, John Conlee, Cory Morrow, David Allan Coe, Tanya Tucker and many others.
Charlie Montague’s newest album “Gypsy” released June 4, 2013. Genre? Americana, rock, rhythm and blues, and soul….all in one-it’s one category. This album will take you for a ride…Charlie Montague’s live set is as mesmerizing and energy packed as it gets. The six piece band rocks the stage and engages the audience leaving them wanting more.
Charlie continues to mesmerize his audiences everywhere he goes with his
electrifying performances.
