Born and raised in rural East Texas near the Louisiana border, Daniel is heavily influenced by the beautiful stretch of land from the piney woods of Nacodoches to the beautiful Bayou Teche of Southern Louisiana. 
  
After moving to the Austin area for the music scene some years ago, Daniel now reclaims his rural roots by living along the San Marcos River outside of the small town of Martindale, Texas.  Still influenced by the connection to the land and water and by the heartbreaks and joys of everyday life, Daniel writes his songs from his riverside treetop abode with his somewhat faithful dog, Lynny, by his side.
