Scrappy Jud Newcomb is a musician's musician. Starting in Austin as an integral member of Loose Diamonds he is much sought after, working with a huge number of Austin artists like ex-Wild Seed Michael Hall, Calvin Russell, and Toni Price. Newcomb also produced and plays with Beaver Nelson, Ian McLagan and the Resentments. His guitar playing is stand alone but his solo work puts the spotlight on that whisper-like voice and image-inducing songs.
