Thom Shepherd is an Austin, Texas-based touring artist. His most recent single “Simplify” was a top ten hit on the Texas Music Chart and the Texas Regional Radio Report. He is the writer of five #1 singles -  Craig Morgan’s “Redneck Yacht Club,” David Ball’s “Riding with Private Malone,” Kyle Park’s latest “The Night Is Young,” Josh Abbott and Pat Green’s single, “My Texas,” and Kevin Fowler’s “Beer Season.”  In total Thom has written over 15 radio singles and has had 100 of his songs recorded by artists including Easton Corbin, Tracy Lawrence, Colt Ford, Bucky Covington, George Jones, Pam Tillis, Lorrie Morgan, John Anderson, Montgomery Gentry, Buddy Jewell, and Cledus T. Judd.  He was born in St. Louis, Missouri and spent his high school years in Stephens City, Virginia. He graduated from George Mason University, moved to Nashville and made a career as a performer and staff songwriter, and then moved to Texas in 2011 to continue writing and touring full-time. His music has taken him on 9 tours performing for our military in 17 different countries. He is a two time cancer survivor, co-owner of, and a father of two.  His latest release is the 12 song CD “Simplify” distributed by Smith Entertainment.
