is the new cd even out????? i saw the video on cmt, and thought it was very " charlie "
Charlies new CD,like a great book, lingers with you. It hits all the right buttons. I just stood in front of my stereo and took it in. Its all the sites, sounds, and experiences, we've all had or heard of. Best of all its pure TEXAS. Thanks Charlie.
This thing doesn't go below one star. They all sound the same and apparently Nashville Nazis had something to do with it because I saw some musical video with Charlie running around in it singing. I think that if that little fiddle player is still playing with him, that would be the only way I'd pay a penny. That kid is GOOD!
I was lucky enough to get a hold of a promo for Charlie's new CD, and don't worry he is still the same ole snarling, too dangerous for your daughters Charlie, with a little Steve Earle and Mr. Keen thrown in the mix. A excellent follow up to life of the party with most of the tracks being written by the Robison brothers and an excelent cover of the Hollisters "Sweet Inspiration". Yes Charlie is still the "Life of the Party".
Charlie Robison's new CD will be available on April 10th. We will be taking preorders sometime in March. I have an advance copy of the CD and it sounds a little different from his last release. The first single is "I Want You Bad", an old NRBQ song and the video should be on CMT soon. He also covers The Hollisters' "Sweet Inspiration". The other songs are written by Charlie and brother Bruce lends a helping hand on a song or two.
Can someone tell me when his new cd is due out?
"Life of the Party" is a great album. I make everyone listen to it. He's an artist who I'd like to see LIVE.
OK lonestarmusic.com ... if I keep this up I won't be able to pay my rent ... I have purchased 2 disks from this site in the past few days and it's the best way to go man ... they arrive in about 3 business days ... The latest cd to go in the collection is "Unleashed Live" - Bruce and Charlie Robison, Jack Ingram, and a cameo appearance by Kelly Willis (man I want to marry her) on "Angry All The Time" ... this is a MUST HAVE CD ---no BS man ... diggin' it right now on my computer at work as I write this ... hope my boss doesn't come walking by ... but hey, if he does I'll turn his Kenny G' listenin' ass on too some real Texas Honky Tonk, Beer Drinkin', Hell Raisin', Get Down music ... The references such as "show me something Gruene" or "how do ya' like us so far" take me back to better days gone by ...
Jack Ingram kills the crap out of "Mustang Burn" and "Work This Out" sounds better live than the studio version ... I'm so glad I found this site and when I think about it I can't believe I wasted so much of my time and money on what I thought was country music ... I say rock on boys ... the hell with Nashville - we got all we need right here in Texas ...
THE BEST COUNTRY SINGER I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIVE! THE BEST SONG IS "MY HOMETOWN>"
