And So It Goes is a rewarding, if fleeting, listen. Teaming again with Garth Fundis as Producer, the songs roll along with a familiar groove of past hits for a mere 35 minutes. While most can't name the writer of even their favorite "Don Williams" tunes, Williams (with Fundis) have a knack for wisely selecting songs that simply reach pretty much anyone. A personal favorite is the mere choice of "Heart of Hearts" written by long time Austin resident Turner Stephen Bruton. But, really, that's just one of ten quick favorites. "Stars" join in from Vince Gill to Keith Urban and Allison Krausse but it's the songs that allow Williams' voice and the clean (uncluttered rather than polished) production from Fundis to deliver such a gratifying 35 minutes. Disclaimer - this is not Texas Country or Red Dirt Music. But, gIve it a listen and soon you'll be singing along with "Better than Today" right through "And So It Goes" ... and then starting at the beginning again.

One of the greatest ever. Doesn't get the deserved recognition as the other legends from his day.
