One of the best artists of Today .

I recently saw Ms. Go-shay at the Cedar Cultural Center--incredible. Can't Find the Way is the saddest song I have ever heard. A true master. A true treasure of American music.

Nowadays americana music, they call country & folk, indie roots or country progressive, it's a true ferment in the new line-up of female voices, so sounding and clear, so different from the way that it used to be once! I broadcast country & folk music in italy since mid-seventies, but today for me to listen to a song such as "Prayer without words" or "Sugar Cane" a so many others,make me happier, stronger, I become another kind of man...I feel as I can even touch easily the sky......thank you to exist Mary Gauthier, you are the light which leads in several pathways.....thanks for living.... Filth & Fire is an outstanding album with a wide range of songs that hit you in the gut immediately and stay with you for days thereafter. A true "slice of life" perspective, all of the songs are great, but Sugercane puts you right there and you can smell the smoke - outstanding Mary!

This woman has soul! You can just tell, simple and real she is!
