Naysayers be damned! Swats!
One of the best COUNTRY albums I have heard in some time. Jon reminds me of a young George Strait. Man what a voice this kid has got.
I have no clue what REAL MUSICIAN is talking about, but Jon Wolfe is ALL talent... He either wrote or co-wrote 9 or the 12 songs on the album. His voicy is absouletly amazing. His concerts are filled with energy. And if REAL MUSICIAN thinks Jon Wolfe is just another pretty face trying to get in to the Texas scene, he is wrong. Jon doesnt wear Pat t-shirts, hes a country boy from a small town in OK. Jon's next album is goin to be great, it is being produced by George Strait's piano player, and George Straits band will be playing on the album. But if you are looking for a true honest to goodness country album, look no further.
Saw the boy at Whiskey River...AWESOME..Great voice, cool songs,entertaining band. Isn't this what it's all about? A must see if you're into honky tonkin' good fun and classic, country rooted music, even if he is from Oklahoma!Ouwoooaahh.
Jon can sing and his shows get people off their butts and on the dance floor. He puts on one hell of a show and can lite the stage up with hard core country and drive the girls crazy with his slow songs and good looks. A must see show and great first album. Expect great things from second album from this soon to be big time musician. Great band that is having fun and love what they do. The negative review from "Real Musician" is bunk and this dude must be blind, deaf and dumb!!!
Jon Wolfe is country to the core. Clever lyrics and great arangements make this a great album. Tennessee Wiskey is the best song on an album full of enjoyable tunes. If you are tired of the over produced trash coming out of Nashville, but still love the sound of a good old fashioned country singer, then Jon Wolfe is what you are looking for.
I THOUGHT THE ALBUM WAS OK IT HAS A FEW WELL WRITTEN SONGS ON IT. THUMBS UP FOR USING TALENTED WRITERS. THE MUSICIAN-SHIP WAS ADEQUIT THE VOCALS WERE GOOD, BUT IT LACKED FEELING, EMOTION, AND GROOVE, SORRY. IT REMINDS ME OF AN AMAETURE TRYING TO HANG WITH THE BIG BOYS. THATS THE ALBUM. I'VE SEEN THIS GUY LIVE. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED HE HAS A BORING PERFORMANCE, THERE IS NO SHOW. IF I WANTED TO LISTEN TO THE SONGS JUST SUNG I'D BURN THE CD. FOR A SELF-ACCLAIMED MUSICIAN HE SURE HAS NO CLUE OF HOW TO ORGANIZE A LIVE SHOW AND HIS BAND FOR THAT MATTER. JON IS JUST ANOTHER VOICE AND LOOKS GUY THAT WILL CHEESE HIS WAY INTO THE REALMS OF THE TEXAS "SCENE" AND SUCK HIS WAY INTO ANY ONE THAT WILL HAVE HIM AND TRY TO GAIN THE RESPECT OF REAL MUSICIANS. jUST ANOTHER PRETTY BOY USING OTHERS TALENT WEARING HIS PAT GREEN T-SHIRT
