I can see the Nashville vultures circling overhead right now. They are swooping down to take a look at their next meal. I haven't seen or heard hide nor hair of this guy (in Houston here) and about the time I do, I suppose he will be on CMT acting like "real country singer" is supposed to. I guess it's only fair, we took Willy when they didn't want him and now they are starting to get revenge....Pat Green (not quit nashville), Randy Rogers etc. and Jake will be gone too (though I may be exagerating how soon) But DAMN! This album is good, all good! 100% good! There are at least 5 or 6 or 7 singles on this thing...I was having Beatles and Stones album flashbacks (for you young punks, that means back when all the songs were actually good enough to be on the album) Well anyway, fight off the buzzards for a while.

Jake Kellen's CD "Take me Home" is awesome, it is simply real country music with real instruments. All the songs have great lyrics and great instrumentation. Standounts on the album are, college days, bulletproof, she says she loves me, and you and me.
Good songs, great vocals and harmonies. Great musicians. That about does it---oh it's pretty too, nice pictures.
When we recieved the "Take Me Home" album I thought, cool picture but is the look as good as the music? I listend for the fist thirty seconds and knew I would introduce it to my director. Fantastic material!! Hate to admit but i got this for free!!! WOW, THANKS A THOUSAND TIMES!! Jake is genuine, full of energy, and is proud to be a part of the Texas Music world. I will continue to play his clips on our radio station and the feed back from students here is through the roof. Not only does he have a great voice but plays the guitar with such a new sound. jake kellen is bad ass. ever since i got the cd, i've been listening to it and turning more people onto it. you'll be seeing him on the top of the charts soon i'm sure
It's not country like country use to be. It's more like rock, back in the late 70s & 80s. Anybody relate today's country to the 70s hard rock music era?
