I have never heard another songwriter, write songs as good as James does. I have every one of his albums and anyone that does not give him credit for what he does for music, needs to re-think their lives. I highly recommend you check him out!

Overall, one of the most unique artists which call "our kind of music" home. Finally the progeny of a great American artist(dad) has the brilliant sense of the surreal and mundane which is manifested in the lifelong pursuit of mediocrity by the majority of children of artists. The first time I saw him was at Sons of Herman Hall, and I bought every damn album after I heard the line in Choctaw Bingo which concludes with"...he likes the money, he don't mind the smell." Genius.
