Mr. Terrill's compositions are counterpoint, with spontaneous melody. The storylines are ascending and descending, and compelling with an emotional force of the lyrics. The background music is poignant reflecting a beautiful marriage of words and music. The music is beautiful, also reflecting the emotional turmoil of the music and lyrics, in other words, the story lives. There is an extremely artful transition of major and minor keys.

Hey, Lone Star fans. I heard Todd and his band, Hardcore Country, last Friday week (August 3)in El Reno, Oklahoma, at Gilmore's Pub and Barefoot Bar. Todd's original songs have great melodies and lyrics. He and his band really put the tunes across live. Their playing reminds me of Hank, Jr., Tim McGraw, Pink Floyd, and Metallica rolled into one, and the guys jam like Robert Randolph and his Family Band. Guess their music's hard core and red dirt dirt enough for every fan. Best of all, the crowd, Todd, and the band had a great time together. What a refreshing new sound. The cd tells a story almost. The songwriting and composition is top notch.
