Derailers
Artist Review
I saw these fellas at the Cotton Club & Steakhouse in Granger, TX. They are quiet simply GENUINE! They are the real deal and awesome on stage and Genuine is their best effort yet (and that's pretty good given their earlier releases are fantastic). Go see these guys play!! A Must!

Genuine
Album Review
This is by far their most ambitious work to date. For some artists this would mean something to be wary of, not so here. Don't worry, the good suff you remember is all here, 50's inspired slow stuff like Way to My Heart, and Boomerang Heart which shows Buck Owens' influence is still alive and well. There's road house honky tonk(Leave a Message Juanita, Take It Back). Of course there's the rollicking instrumental, and then we go for a detour with surf music (Genuine, Scratch My Itch) and gospel (The Wheel), and the truly experimental with "Love Me Some Elvis". There is literally something here for everyone, and I'll bet you'll find something to like in every track. Even if you go to the mall and pay WAY too much for this cd, it's still worth every cent.

Here Come The Derailers
If you've never heard the Derailers, this is a perfect place to start. No one knows or stays truer to the roots of Honky Tonk than these guys. There is simply not a bad song on this album. From the rollicking swing of "More of Your Love", to slower sounds like "All The Rage in Paris" and "My Angel's Getting Tired", there's something on here for whatever mood you're in. And don't miss the retro cool as Brian takes the lead and croons "I See My Baby". All the best nuances of Buck Owens and Bob Wills, with their own Austin flavor added in. The only thing better than this disk is seeing them live.

Derailers
Artist Review
I've listened to country music nearly all my 30 years and recently the country music fare that's being pushed on us is not even country. However, The Derailers are a shining rhinestone in the buckle of country music, I mean REAL country music. I've seen Tony, Brian, Ed and Scott nearly 10 times now and each show is wholly excellent. A million thanks to The Derailers for keeping real country music alive and kicking hard!

Artist Review
"Here Comes the Derailers" is awesome. If anyone is curious to what TX music is all about, this CD is a must!! The Derailers, along with REK, Ingram, and the Robison Bros are the epitome of good, TX music.
