Guys give them a break! I think that West 84 is awesome with or with out a name change. These guys seem to really enjoy what they do and kudos to them because I do too! College Station doesn't know what they're missing out on but don't worry--I'm trying to convert them....

This is probably the best alt country band there ever was. I don't care what anyone says about Son Volt or Wilco. They may have started interest in the genre, but Ryan Adams has taken it to a new level. He's up for three Grammy's, so I guess he's doing something right. By the way, he is over his beef with old 97s, and has gone to a number of their shows in the last year or so.

Son Volt was so much better than Whiskeytown will ever be.

Terrible and highly overrated. "Cryin" Ryan Adams is a little whiner and a crybaby. Ryan, if you are going to act so oppressed and depressed with the hand that life has dealt you, you could at least be cool about it (like Tom Waits). He needs to get over his beef with the Old 97's, grow up, and stop acting like such an broken, loner brat.
