Ryan Adams
Artist Review
Soo...lets tell him to get back on drugs that could possibly kill him, but hey its all about the music right? God forbid some punk who is heartbroken the music isnt what it was will have to listen to something different. Dang. Ryan's music speaks to all kinds of people, (even the latest) Hate to break it to you Joe but he isnt recording albums for you.

No. An artist should be judged by their most recent output and its sad to say, but Ryan Adams is no longer producing his best music. His peak has past, and the fact that you are capable of forgiving him so easily is quite indicative of the way that music is made to day: with a lowest common denominator in mind that says "No, it doesn't have to be great, just good enough to keep folks from changing the channel." So yeah, maybe I was a little harsh, but mediocre music is mediocre music and I know that Ryan Adams is capable of better than his mots recent songs.

Artist Review
Oh Joe-I agree....it is sad. I suspect that most of the people that actually shop for music on this website are familiar with only two Ryan Adams songs..Youve got the "Come Pick Me Uppers" and the "Sweet Caroliner's"...THey know these tunes because every damn "Texas (yeehaw) and Red Dirt (wtf?) band has churned out some elementary version of them. Ive seen Adams perform in New York and South Carolina, and then in Dallas.....it was ridiculous at the Dallas shows as the whole time all these goofy RED DIRT?TEXAS MUSIC fans monotonously requested these two tunes.....Anyway I enjoy all of his albums for what they are, you can take tunes he writes just f'in around and they are leaps and bounds better than mmmmm... at least 95% of the stuff comin out of TX and OK these days. God please let this whole red dirt/TX poop pass soon!

Joe-thats sad, very sad. The cd might not be comparable to some of his past work and hey it happens but shame on you for such a disgusting and upsetting way to review an artist. I suggest everyone get this cd and other Ryan Adam work.

I picked this album up awhile back, listened to it once through and was thoroughly disappointed. "Easy Tiger" was a far overrated album (with critics describing it as "cohesive" and "together" when in fact it was, by Adams' own admission, just a bunch of songs he'd had laying around) and this EP proves that sobriety has really taken away from the Ryan Adams experience. The line "My love for you is real" in the opening track is by far the most trite thing to ever come out of this once poignant songwriter. Sadly, there will never be another Heartbreaker or Cold Roses. I would expect to see more craplike this out of Adams unless he, by some gracious miracle from on high, starts getting messed up again and writing songs that aren't for the pretentious and self-involved Starbucks crowd.

Easy Tiger
Album Review
Easy Tiger is Adams' most unfocused work to date. The album is a meandering romp through different genres of music he's already made in the past all on one disc. Good, but not revolutionary by any standard.

Easy Tiger
Album Review
The most trancendental piece of art of our time... He's so far beyond any level of thinking we're used to, it might scare you. Give it a chance...and while you're at it, buy any Whiskeytown album you can get your hands on... Trust me...
