I was actually lucky enough to be able to see Miranda at The Reo in Longview and pick up one of her first cd's. That first one was absolutley PURE TEXAS music. Sadly i cant find another copy of that cd anywhere. Kerosene is a great album. I just hope she doesnt forget where she came from and get to big too quick. It took Pat Green like 9 albums before he was big in Nashville, but he is a god in Texas. Thats what she needs to worry about. Remembering her roots he in The Lone Star State.
It's rare that you find an album where every song is your favorite...this is it. Edgy, deep, true Texan, Rockin, hot, & pure. I love this CD.
Miranda Lambert is a breath of fresh air to the radio! Finally, we have a musician/ songwriter who has the voice of a songbird. Miranda is not aspiring to be Faith Hill or Shania Twain (thatnk goodness), but writes the music she loves, rather than choosing songs to sell to the masses. I have had the album for 2 months and can't seem to get past it.

I mean come on... Really. I first heard this girl at one of jason bolands benefits.. years ago. It was a joke then and it still is today.. im not buying it. Nashville Star, give me a break. I did get drunk and buy one of those dumb ass hats back at bolands benefit back some time ago, if anybody sees me wearin it, just kick my ass, cause lord knows i deserve it.
Whilst there are a few weak spots in this debut CD (Including the aforementioned "I Can't Be Bothered") as a whole, Lambert is something Texas should be proud of. She speaks as a voice of many a single (And irritated) female with "Kerosene" while songs like "Love Your Memory" smack of the truth we ACTUALLY don't want to admit. Her voice has shadows of Natalie Maines, but let's see what this girl can do!
This girl rocks! I love the song "I wanna die" and "I can't Be bothered"!!! I just love the unique sound of this girls music! She rockin' !!!
