I've seen this band live and let me just say they can rip it up!!! The album is awesome....definate buy!!!!!!!!!
Probably not more rocking than the RR Band. But it's a very DEEP feeling you get from the cd. It reaches out and grabs you. As far as comparing it to Great Divide, could be some of the older stuff w/ MM.
I think it has a feeling you would get from Cross Canadian (careful, many people act like thats a problem), with a little Great Divide stylings as well. I think they are a little more rockin' than Randy, but they can also slow it down and still sound great. Listen now while they are just getting going. This cd is actually better than CCR's first.
A real solid CD from a band that obviously has it's sh$t together. These guys have a cool melodic style and you get the sense they can really crank it up when they want to. Certainly a band to keep your eye on. If you buy this CD, you won't be sorry.
I have heard of these guys or their CD but the reviews make me want to buy it! How do they compare to Randy Rogers Band? Would you say BJ is kind of Cross Canadianish or are they more swing and country like Aaron Watson? Either way I'll probably buy it and give it a shot. Any feedback is appreciated!
Let me tell you, this is a super first cd! Really good stuff. I’m enjoying it thoroughly. Gotta feeling that this band is only going to get even better. Extremely anxious to see a live performance. Definitely worth anyone’s time and money. You will like it the first time around and that’s saying something these days.
Just a quick reply to the comment made by "James" that this band "doesn't belong in any kind of music" James is totally within his rights to dislike the music coming from this band. . . or any other band. Just as I am totally right to totally disagree with his opinion. As far as Im concerned there are only two CDs I keep going and that's RK's Wicked Twisted Road and the Buster Jiggs CD. Frankly, if you are a true Texas music fan, I don't think you can get much better than these. Am sorry, but maybe "James" has a "tin-ear"
