Blanco's is by far the last real honky tonk left in Houston. They do not allow line dancing, they do not allow rock or pop music, it's just country...honky tonk country. And they have really good food too! National bands like The Derailers and local bands always pack the place. The servers are extremely friendly and capable and the manager,Karin, seems to remember everyone's names when they come in.

Great place in the middle of upscale stuck-up River Oaks. They stick with great music, cold beer, and seem to not care they are in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Houston. With the possible exception of The Mucky Duck, this is the best place to be if you don't like cheesy Nashville type bars.
