Awesome bar and truely authentic! Good music on loop and awesome food. Try the venison chilli. Is a little over the top and may come off as nashville, but it used to be a Texas History Museum, so keep that in mind. They aren't trying too hard. They were just too lazy to take everything out.
No, its not the best place ever, but its definitely a fun spot to spend a weeknight, relaxing and listening to some good music. The bartenders are always ready to go, even on the very very packed Thursday night Happy Hour!
Had a great time. Food was good, atmosphere was great. The bartenderess was very nice - and the place was busy. I'd go back again soon, but I had to return to Michigan, so it will have to wait until my next trip down there.
This so-called 'palace' is far from it. OVER-RATED, in a big way!!!!!
This place blows. Buster Jiggs is too good for a dump like this. Oh, the bar may have the name and "the look", but didn't have what it took, at least not for me anyways.
One star from the Lone Star. This place is a poser.
My first thought upon entering the Armadillo Palace was- not bad. I had some food, which was pretty decent. But when I saw the way one of the assistant managers treated one of my favorite bands- I lost all respect for this place. Running a successful establishment means treating people with courtesy and respect. I am afraid that this place is un-accustomed to those words.
Definitely a crap-hole bar! I'm glad someone finally said it!
This place tries way too hard to be Texan. Definitely sucks in my opinion.
