Had a chance to meet Duane Hefley, the owner. One first class guy who really cares about his patrons. He spends a lot of time making sure his audience is entertained and that they get their money's worth.
The place is great, such a friendly place and great atmosphere. There's a reason why the artists keep coming back and back! PS tb/trina bella, maybe you shouldn't use redneck as a negative term when you're going to a bar that's specifically known for it's redneck music?
Kick Ace Place! It is very laid back and no one pushing, shoving and looking for a brawl.
The Firehouse is one of the most laid-back places in Houston where people can listen to great Texas music, drink beer and hang out with friends - we love it. You can tell that the musicians love it too because they seem to have as much fun as the audience. We've never had a bad time here.
Oh yea, and FIREMEN RULE!!
Just off-setting the off-setters.

Very cool place. I had to write a review to offset the angry lesbian post. It has a very straight friendly atmosphere.

Not very lesbian friendly! Me and my partner came here and were verbally assaulted by closed minded rednecks. I was embarassed and insulted that the bar staff wouldn't do anything about this blatant inhumanity. No stars for a place with no class!
Great place for live music...all the Texas favorites!
