I loved this album. It shows that REK still has talent and he's not afraid to break away from the usual. Good mix of country, bluegrass, and rock n' roll. Only Keen could pull of some of these songs.

I cant believe that anyone could give this alblum a bad review. Its awesome from start to finish and shows that the man is unbelieveably talented. So Sorry Blues, wowser is all I can say. Played it to death and still love it. For you people who think every song and every alblum have to sound just the same go listen to those homogenized country hat twirps with no talent

I'm a long time REK fan but this hits the bottom...I never thought this would happen to such a great artist and writer. He needs to get rid of his producer, manager, and promoter and set up an independent label and just record songs similar to what Johnny Cash did when he got together with Rick Ruben of American Recordings to produce some of the best Cash records of Johnny's life. An interesting side note is that most of the last few recordings done by Cash were recorded in Rick Ruben's living room...REK should do the same....

Any long time fan can tell that REK is trying to branch out and diversify his sound. Its a good thing for some tracts and not so good for others. A fairly strong album with a few week points.

This CD was a real let down compared to his other music. I thought the music overpowered the vocals on most of the songs. I hope he doesn't let that happen again.

At first I wasn't sure what I thought about the album. Then I listened to it a few more times and realized it was pretty bad. I could see where a new REK fan may like it, but everyone I've talked to who's been a fan since "Armadillo Jackal" was very dissappointed. This album's McMurtry redo wasn't bad, but far REK's rendition of "Levelland". Buy this one used. It will be available soon.

Awesome album. Breaks new ground for REK. "So Sorry Blues" has awesome guitar picking,"Let the Music Play" is phenomenal. Nice experimental album, every song is good

Its been nearly all down hill since Picnic. This album certainly picked-up where Gravitational Forces left off. Thats bad.
