oh yeah. they are great. if you like the same ol, run of the mill, nashville jr. sound of texas music nowadays. i cant really say disappointing since i wasnt expecting much more than that. i'd have to say that have lived right up to those standards.
hey to that person who said Bart Crow couldn't sing, WTF is wrong with you, obviously you must not be listening to the same Bart Crow everyone else is, because I promise the man can sing. Yeah he has a great band and all of those guys are as cool as the other side of the pillow, I have met everyone of them. If you could hire a great band you are telling me you would be touring?? LOL!! Maybe he doesnt want to go Nashville have you ever thought about that one?? Probably not. Nashville makes you what they think everyone wants to hear, BCB is brilliant and I will back them til the day I die.
I can't rate what is good & what is not based on a scene, but this band very talented. That is all I'm saying about their skills. I am good friends know Barts wife & I can assure you, the band may be good & it may be bad, but in no way shape or form did Bart "Have a lot of money backing him..."...Do you know them? Ask him, or anyone in his band, or anyone that knows the guys, why they play with him & where his "money" came from before you make up bullpoop stories. If you dont like them, fine, scream it from the mountains, but don't make up lies, in nulls your opinion. Barb
I don't know what these negative reviewers are listening to. The Bart Crow Band I know is flat out awesome. I love their live concerts, from the music to the prayers to the adrenaline. Keep it up guys, don't let these idiots tell you your no good. See you in the ville soon!
When will Texas music fans stop basing their interests on hype and start objectively giving things a chance? The next time you want to go to a BCB show, open your local paper or Chronicle and give something else a shot. Try to go where your frat buddies aren't going. In all honesty Bart is a great guy. He just had a lot of money to back him and was able to hire a great band that is far more talented than him. This CD just isn't creative - Bart can't sing. There's a reason no one in Austin or Nashville will give him "due" respect (Midnight Rodeo doesn't count).
Well let's see It is my opinion That this cd is better than his previous records.
The production has improved the most you can tell they had more studio time on this one.
The singing is good Bart has a good voice the problem with this record is the song selection is pretty week.
It seems to me that there is alot of good band's in texas but when it comes to song writing there is very few artist who can be considered great.
Bart has wrote a couple good songs but at the end of the day this record is nothing special.Not a total wast of money if you are a Bart crow fan but if you haven't heard him yet you might wanna start somewhear else.

Bart is a very precocious entertainer. His dream, ever since he was a young man, was to perform and entertain audiences. He perfected this at a young age, whether it be at a school activity or special event; he used his talents and personality to captivate the audience. His mind works like a tumultuous turbine, churning out one beautiful masterpiece song after another. His collectivism towards his band and the camaraderie he holds for the entire group. A loving son who worships his mother, a dedicated husband, and a profound nephew whom I cherish with all my heart. Good luck Bart, and God will place you at the top.
BCB is the BEST EVER! GREAT music!
We recently met BCB at the After-Party of the Independent film "Desdemona: A Love Story"(an AFI Premier movie). BCB plays a band in a Texas honkey tonk - go figure! One of the most dynamic groups to hit the Texas stage in a number of years!! The boys' energy was contagious and kept EVERYONE in the place on their feet all night!! "Desperate Hearts" requires the volume be on high from start to finish!!
