Two Tons Of Steel
Artist Review
Best little ol' band from Texas that has come out since ZZTop. Had a chance to see them live for the first time in San Marcos and it was an awsome presentation.

Just saw the band in Gruene Hall on July 6th for the first time. What a great band. My wife and I walked down from the Gruene Apple B&B for a stroll and decided to go in with another couple staying at the B&B. We all had a great time listening to the band and watching the folks shake a leg to the music. It was interesting, as a song would start, you could watch people go thru a process as the foot would start thumping, then the legs shaking, then the torso , then arms and head and then they were on the floor. What a great evening. I will be looking for them to come to Houston and to also buy their cd's.

This is one of the best bands in the country, Their recent song 'Lonely Love' should be on the Billboard charts.

Listening to the CD is like driving in the Texas Hill Country in a convertible with the top down as fast as it will go. What a powerful, truly entertaining CD!

Two Tons really come to life when you see them live. This collection of "live" hits from Gruene Hall start to capture the vibe, but alas. You've gotta go to the show. Dennis Fallon on lead guitar opens the album with a couple of runs that will blow you away. The musicianship is awesome overall, but doesn't seem as strong in subsequent tunes. Whooping and screaming of the crowd gets obnoxious and seems contrived about 10 minutes in. All in all good. And if you're not from Texas, or can't make it here or to Utrecht, The Netherlands, I guess this is the next best thing.

2 Tons is one heck of a ticket. They are tight as Dick's hatband, and Kevin is one of the best in the biz up front. Never a dull moment at a show, and the cd catches it all.

Two Tons Of Steel
Artist Review
If you like dancin' on a wooden floor barefoot to hip-shakin', toe-tappin', fun for kiddos or old men, go see Two Tons. Whether they are playing at Nelson City Dancehall on a Saturday night or at Gruene on a Two Ton Tuesday, you will love every minute. The guys are friendly, funny and can jam better than any band I've ever heard. Take it from a "red-headed woman who can get a dirty job done"- they kick serious Texas tail.
