Red River Tribute
This double live CD truly captures the sound of that Friday and Saturday in New Braunfels. It captures the heart and soul of the singers/songwriters who paid their respects in the best way they know how to this legend and forefather of the attitude of Texas Country.

Waylon Jennings
Artist Review
I can remember seeing Waylon Jennings back in the early 70's on some c/w show that came on back then, and the thing that struck me the most about this guy was that he did not look at all like all the other country singers of the day. No sprayed, poofy hairdo, no sequined Nudie suit, no cheesy, used car salesman smile and persona, just a tough looking character, black leather vest, a serious as hell scowl on his face, singin' Delia's Gone (yes, Waylon did it, too) and I thought, "$h*t, this guy means business!!" From that time on Waylon Jennings has been the embodiment of all that is both genuinely "tough", and honest and sincere about country music. Hell, let's be real here; Waylon transcended the country moniker. Nobody, and I mean nobody, crossed from country to pop-rock genres like Waylon (except maybe his partner in crime-Willie) when he recorded songs like "Gold Dust Woman" and made it sound like he wrote it himself. I could gush for an hour about WJ but I'll call it sufficient to say that there'll never be another like "the Outlaw that walks through Jessi's dreams". Those shoes can't be filled.

Honky Tonk Heroes
One of the best and most influential albums released in the 1970's. Brilliant and timeless.

Artist Review
Waylon was truly one of the greatest performers of all time. Each of these albums are classics that everyone should have. Whoever the idiot is that wrote the review before me, obviously knows nothing about music and is probably some bored little kid. Waylon was a true original and a legend.
