Johnny Cash definitely deserves a 5 star rating! The soul he puts into his songs really shines through and speaks to the soul. His songs have good beat and rhythm, which make them catchy and hip. He is definitely one of the legends of country music. Cash's death was one of the most tragic things that happened to the country genre. Cash will not be forgotten.

It has taken me almost 30 years to become a Johnny Cash FAN . . .and this album played a great role in me becoming one. Touches all generations. His version of "Hurt" -- first recorded by Nine Inch Nails -- is probably THE most moving song I have heard in a great long while. And there aren't words to adaquately describe the video.
It is THE best music video I have ever seen. What an incredible final contribution this great man made to the world.
The big hits on here are remakes of the original versions. The Essential Johnny Cash is a much better collection.
