Friday after work. Five week old kitten purring in my lap. Cold can of beer. Long weekend ahead. Tuscola on the CD player. Life is sweet. Thanks, Nathan, for the show at Burt's Tikki Lounge in Albuquerque on April 10.

"All For Love and Wages," the new Nathan Hamilton CD, has not left my player for three weeks now (I was lucky enough to get an advance copy). It just plain kicks ass! My faves are #2 (Bottle in the Bathroom), #4 (Wages) and #7 (Dirt in the Wound). We've got it on the jukebox at the Ol' Waterin' Hole and it's already a hit here! Nathan Hamilton is in the category of a Johnny Cash. It's almost like he has a secret and he is saying "listen close and I'll tell you what happened". His music makes you stop and want to listen to his words.

I ordered Nathan's new CD on Monday. (Got it on Tuesday, Thanks for the great service LSM.) Anyhoo... It is excellent, harder than Tuscola. But an excellent transition. Can't get it outta my disc changer. You gotta buy this one! Well crafted songs by one of Texas' best songwriters. Can't say enough.

Nathan Hamilton is a great musician I've seen him 3 times in concert, his true roots music. Your in for a treat when you see his lead guitarist.

I have had the privilege to see Nathan solo in a small old bar setting and with his band No Deal in a larger setting. Either way is great! Anyone who longs for true Texas music should see these guys. From the toe-tappin' song "Roots" to more poetic songs like "Spent" and "Cash & Tobacco", Tuscola is a must have.

NAthan Hamilton delivers a great live performance. If he is ever in your neighborhood, with or without his band No Deal, he is a must see. The CD Tuscola is a true Americana wonder. The writing is honest, compassionate, colorful and real with just the right spalsh of sentiment and humor. Nathan makes as good a poet as he is a songwriter and performer.

There was a very good turnout at Gruene Hall last Friday night when Nathan Hamilton took the stage! And the crowd certainly wasn't disappointed! Nathan served up some of the best music I've heard in a long time! This fellow is one of the most talented up-and-coming musicians in the country! His band is awesome, too! I'm sure that everyone who has had the privilege of listening to Nathan enjoys his music as much as I do! He's one of the best!
