Texas On A Saturday Night was hard to find and a long time coming. But this cd has it with M-M-M-Mel as the other half. Any Willie fan deserves this album. I truly wish these two would get together at one of their shows & perform this one. I've never seen it live. Half-Nelson is quite superb.
There should be many follow up "halves" put together.
I got the vinyl when it first came out. It's the best I've ever heard him do.
Just lisening to the clips and i got to say that the reggae sound doesn't fit AT all with willies voice. Maybe he should redo with out the reggae background.
I am a baby boomer and have never had a favorite album or CD in my life until now. Gospel is not a big part of my collection. Not even a particularly big Willie fan..
But this CD is my all-time, slam-dunk, never-fail-to-please favorite. It will speak gently to your soul.

I honestly had not bought a Willie album with new material in 10 years. I didn't know they existed. Well they do, and this has some of the greatest Willie Nelson ever recorded! Awesome!
I have been a Willie fan since I was 8 years old and went to my first concert at the Cow Palace. Willie is by far my favorite artist, and this album is, in my opinion, the best. It is not only classic Willie, but it tells a story through the album. You won't be disappointed.

This CD is the greatest gospel CD I have owned. I love Willie and Bobbie piano playing is great. It could not be better.
I am trying to find a song Willie Nelson sang with a lady. One of the best I have ever heard. "TOL RAILROAD". If anyone knows where to find it please e-mail me.
Thanks "Doc"
