Pat sold out to the corporate Nashville music companies on this one. NOT one of his better CD's. There isn't even a good song about Texas on this one, and I thought that's what Pat and Texas music is all about. Don't waste your cash on this CD, we don't need any Nashville in this state!!

Is it just me or does "Wave on Wave" sound just like "In the Living Years" by Mike & the Mechanics. I can't believe my ears. To tell you the truth, I've never really liked Pat's music. . .it was a bit more tolerable than most "Texas music," but on the whole, I've always been of the opinion that he's been pretty mediocre, and even I could do that if I took off my boots, lowered my guitar strap about a foot, and threw my tuner in the trash. But seriously, how can you "write" a song that is clearly plagiarism -- don't they frown on that in college? GRAMMY NOMINATED? HAS THIS WORLD GONE MAD!!! Grammy's are awards for musicians that have gone above and beyond the skills, writing, and performance of MOST other musicians. Pat Green is not worthy of sweeping the sidewalk outside of the auditorium on the night of the Grammy's. This is ridiculous. What is he nominated for anyway? Most record sales of total crap? Since Pat has started he has been able to sell the most mediocre music to college students and pass it off as something cool -- well, maybe that is a feat in itself. Way to go Pat - you FOOLED them ALL! . . .Except me. :) Best of luck to you Pat, but you suck.

step away from the electric guitar and the backup singers, strip your music back down with the accustic and fiddle. nashville influence is evident and that crap seeping into his shows isn't helping things.
