For the past few years, Hill Country Jane has been steadily gaining momentum in the Texas/Red Dirt Music scene. Starting out as an acoustic trio in Austin, TX, and now based in their hometown of Houston, Hill Country Jane has evolved into a powerful group who's sound lies somewhere between the mainstream country melodies of Pat Green and the ruckus, rebel styles of Stoney LaRue and Reckless Kelly. With the release of their 2008 LP, "The Great Charade", the buzz about this up and coming band keeps growing louder and louder. HCJ has had the honor to share the stage with some of the best in the business, including David Allan Coe, Hal Ketchum, Rick Trevino, Johnny Rodriguez, Bad Company, Montgomery Gentry, and Charlie Robison…along with many others. A Hill Country Jane show really has a little something for everybody. Their original music will have you two stepping slow and close to the title track "The Great Charade," getting a little countrified with "As it is in Texas," and rockin’ out to "What I'm Looking For." Throw in an ever-changing mix of cover songs from the classics through today, and you’ve got the Hill Country Jane experience. Whatever your preference may be, make no mistake, from an intimate acoustic performance to the full-blown festival production, these smokin' hot sons of Southeast Texas will always leave you craving more.
