Singer/songwriter and Native Texan, John Crawford, was born in Marshall, Texas and grew up in the small community of Timpson. He has lived most of his adult life in and around Houston. He has also lived in Memphis, Tulsa, and San Pedro, Belize. He began playing guitar and writing songs in his early adulthood. Like many Texas artists, Jerry Jeff, B.W. Stevenson, Willie, Jimmy Buffett, Guy Clark, Emmie Lou Harris, Charlie Pride and Bob Wills influenced his music. His debut album, For Michele, is dedicated to the memory of his oldest daughter whom he lost at the age of fourteen. The CD is a collection of real and near-real people, places and events. The album is a mixture of country ballads, western swing and The Tropics. In his words “ What a kick it was having some of the best pickers and vocalists around join me on the record.” These include John Inmon, Jack Saunders, Keith Sykes, Mark Mireles, Silver Shoes, Steve Palousek, Darcie Deaville, Rick Richards, Patrick Brennan, and Allen Huff.

Buy this for a chuckle
This could be the worst thing i've ever heard. It sounds like the lyrics were writen by a sexualy frustrated or retarded eight year old. Bad voice, bad lyrics, a compleate turd of an album. Oh Tex Ritter is probably trying to claw his way out of his casket to whip this guys ass.

Did i give that 5 stars? My bad. Take 4 away from that. On the flip side, if this were Star Search I would have given this 1 and 1 quarter stars because I'm just that good of a guy.

Complete Garbage. I would rather run over my face with a brushhog than listen to a song about how moon love would solve world peace. I mean its not just the lyrics, its the whole package that is horrible. The only saving grace is the production quality. The sound is done well.

I have to say, I've been waiting for John's CD, For Michele, to come out for the longest. Well, it's finally here and I am really impressed by the work my uncle and White Cat productions did on this album. This is what "Texas music" is all about.
