Mark grew up in Dayton, Texas. A small town in the Houston area. He started writing and playing at Texas Christian University his freshman year. After attending several other schools, he finally settled down at Southwest Texas State and resides in San Marcos. San Marcos afforded him the opportunity to be heard as well as hear all types of music that influenced his own. Music has always been a major part of his life, but he just recently the started playing his own music around the Texas scene. Still in the early stages of a music career, he has already played the stages of places like Cheatham Street Warehouse, Momo's (Austin), Adair's , The Firehouse (Houston), The Thirsty Armadillo, Woody's Tavern, Saengerhalle, River Road Ice House, Gordo's, Steamboat (Austin) and Lucy's Retired Surfer Bar. Mark has shared the stage with the likes of Django Walker, Roger Creager, Peter Dawson, Honeybrowne, Dub Miller, Randy Rogers, Houston Marchman, Stoney Larue, The South Austin Jug Band, Wade Bowen, Max Stalling, and Brandon Rhyder.
