What a difference a year makes, and never has that cliché held more truth than now for these four men that make up Rambler. In one year, Rambler has achieved more than they had in the past two. They completed their much-anticipated sophomore CD, Starting Over, achieved radio chart success by reaching #18 on the Texas Music Chart and #31 on the national New Music Weekly Chart and the run is not over. First single, “I Ain’t Drinking Any Less” still remains on the charts after thirteen weeks. Rambler released their second video and in January released Starting Over to retail. Not bad for a band that saw a lifelong friend leave the band in the winter of 2001, have both management and record label walk away and suffer through a drought of live shows.
It would have been easy to quit. They had been in this business for fourteen years, touched success with their previous CD, Dreamin’, toured across America, done more, seen more than most see or do in a lifetime. But quitting was not the answer. How can it be the answer when what you do is make music? When creating music nourishes the body and mind, when it gives one the passion to perform, when it is what one does, you don’t quit. You start over.
“It's plain to see where Rambler got the title for their new CD Starting Over. I have been fortunate to know this band for many years and this is the best material they have put out to date. It has certainly hit a nerve with me. That's not to say that their past records have been second rate. These guys have been putting out quality music long before most bands knew how to put three cords together. And their time spent living the hardcore life on the road playing "one-niters" shows on this album. You can feel the ease they have with each other. Starting Over also shows the colorful pallet of musical styles that makes Rambler a great band. It's everything from roots country rock on "Johnny's Gone" and the title track "Starting Over" to hardcore country you'll find in "I Ain't Drinkin Any Less", "Whiskey Song", and "Bottle of Wine and a Memory". Rambler has started over but not changed what they're about. I look forward to seeing what's next from this great band that in my opinion will always be great.”

The Great Divide
Now begins a new chapter in the lives of Tim and Dave Brown, T. C., and Matt Emmons. All now call Oklahoma home and are contributing to the long rich musical history of Oklahoma. Poised and confident, Rambler is ready to continue what they started: a commitment to the music, their fans and most of all to each other.
