Gary P is pure Texas and one of the nicest entertainers I have ever met. We can't wait to see him in Luckenbach this spring.
I've always liked GPN. I consider him as the Jimmy Buffett of Texas Music, you know? He recently played at the memorial service for our beloved "Armadillo Sam" Lewis of San Angelo and now GPN has risen to a higher level as far as I'm concerned. Sam's lifelong, supposed "friend", Willie Nelson, didn't even acknowledge his brief illness or death, which we all found very disappointing.
Gary P's music will live a long life among San Angeloans.

I saw Gary P. Nunn last night at the Birchmere in Alexandria, VA for an event put together by the Washington, DC Chapter of the Texas State Society. It was fantastic! He put on such a terrific show... And for three transplanted Texans, he brought a little bit of Texas to us up here in the Northeast. If you haven't seen him live, I would highly recommend doing so. He's very personable; he came over to talk with us before the show and just kept the room charged all night long!
I would just like to say that I can personally relate to every song on this c.d.....Gary P. is an awesome artist with a fun style, and I listen to his music because it is real and fun.
"The Day of the Ray," the latest release from Dallas based, The Deathray Davies is some of the most refreshing music to reach my ears in a very long time. I had the pleasure to see a recent live performance in Austin and was relieved to see that the sheer energy and song craft were as well conveyed on stage as in the recording.
Singer/Songwriter John Dufilho is well on his way to the crafting memorable and complex pop songs that will define the best of Texas music.
Do yourself and your speakers a favor, buy this album!
Tell yall what my girlfriend's dad hired him for a private show for one of his business partners and the man did an awsome job. The man is as nice as can be and a very very talneted muscian. I give everything he has done 5 stars cause he is a true troubadour.
Hey Texas music and mariachi fans!!! I recently traveled down to the Rio Grande Valley and got a chance to see an awesome mariachi: Mariachi Oro de Edinburg North. They're all students at Edinburg North High School, Home of the Fighting Cougars, and boy can these talented, good-looking musicians play and perform! Whew... I was impressed with their repertoire of songs. Also, they looked like they were having so much fun, almost makes me want to become a mariachi. Congratulations to The Valley and Edinburg North for helping preserve and promote the music of Mexico and South Texas. There's nothing like Texas music, whatever style it may be! Go Mariachi Oro!
Every time I hear Roadtrip, I want to break out the Shiner Bock and have me a good old time!
