I am from Nevada, but I love good country music. His lyrics are great and feel so "at home". Freightliner feels so good that I almost believe I am married to a trucker. Jesse James makes me feel as if I was alive during those times and perhaps Jesse was my cousin.

Artist Review
Mark does an excellent job of blending different styles that makes listening to his music feel like you have found your way home. He has surrounded himself with some really great talent that keeps the music going from track to track. Each song has strong lyrics woven into the best material that I have heard in quite some time. This CD should be a part of any music fans collection that has a desire to listen to great music.

This is one of the best CDs that I've bought this year. A friend of mine loaned it to me and I didn't want to give it back. Mark is pretty much an unkown right now but you can't ignore true talent for long. He has influences from Bob Dylan and Steve Earle but his music still sounds original. The CD contains 16 tracks for TEN BUCKS! You can't go wrong here, anyway you look at it!

Mark Jungers
Artist Review
Texas, by way of Minnesota, singer/songwriter Mark Jungers has released an accomplished first solo album, after playing in several Austin-area bands the past few years. Helping him are numerous Austin musicians, including members of Charlie Robison's and Monte Montgomery's bands. The album features 16 well-crafted, instantly appealing songs that should certainly please fans of guys like Greg Trooper, Buddy Miller and Steve Earle. Like those musicians, Jungers writes good songs, tells interesting stories and combines twang and edgy pop with touches of blues, rock and bluegrass. There are no bad tracks, but standouts include "You and the Wind," "Think About You," "What More Can I Do," and "Long Train." The songs have a rich, full sound thanks to the variety of instruments used, including fiddle, banjo, mandolin, steel guitar, piano and hammond B-3. Hopefully, Junger's self-released effort does not slip through the cracks and will lead to much-deserved recognition for a very talented musician.
