When your acoustic guitar is so out of tune that you have to grab another is something that happens . . . sometimes. However, when it's completely out of tune for the opening song, that means that you're too lazy and or stupid to be in this business. Besides, where did this guy come from? His songs are all in G, his music is straight up generic soft rock, and every song sounds like the previous one. I felt like I was in a time warp. Why would anyone ever book this assault on music? There are so many bad bands in Texas that it's hard to distinguish one from another. These boys should be the poster child for Texas Music Mediocrity.

Mike's music is as unique as West Texas and can get wild as Blaine's Pub on a Saturday Night. There aren't many live shows I would rather see in an old honkey tonk! A few of Mike's classic drinking songs get me in the mood for a real good night. Matter of fact I am going to the closest bar right now...THIS ONE IS FOR YOU MIKE!!

Mike Graham is the most underrated Texas Artist there is. His songwriting is super and his live shows are even better. All three albums are great and I can't wait till the next one is released. Maybe a live album??

Bad Ideas. Intesity of Springsteen, Energy driven Drama of Earle, The Beautiful simplicity of Guy, The soul and smoothness of james brown, and a whole lotta Graham. I don't know how many people look at these reviews. Although, I would assume if you are reading this, you are actually someone who listens to the music. If you listen to whats out there right now you will probally see a whole lotta I love texas and shiner music going on. If you are foriegn to the whole Texas/Americana music revolution you would have questions about the music getting bred in this beautiful state right now. Although, this is a different sound, and a different message. One that could be appreciated by all, or least the ones that can live through the music. Or the people who don't know how to dance. If you have not seen this man live, you really are missing out. If you avoid purchusing this album or going to see this show then you are not a Fine music con-u-sewer. You are not a Honky Tonker. You are not a beer drinker. You are not a Texan. You are a Comunist. Thank you

What is it? Country? Rock? Blues? Country Rockin' Blues? I don't know but the new album is outstanding. Finally Mike has a record that can stand up to his amazing live shows. Good work guys and to all of you who have not gotten the album, order it or you will be sorry.

what can I say about Mike, down to earth amazing songwriter. "Bad Ideas" has to be one of the biggest and best shocker CDs of 2004 talent and skill was put into it. John Inmon has amazing vision, the Laughing boys have unspeakable talent and Mike shows his true abilities in this CD. If you dont have it yet.... you are totally miss'n out my friends....

Bad Ideas is the best album I have heard in years. It is amazing that Mike can wade through the mud of what Texas Music is becoming and come out with an album of this magnitude. He is an amazing singer/songwriter and the Laughing Boys do one hell of a job on this album. If you don't have it, you are truly missing out on the best thing Texas has to offer right now.
