After listening to "texas" country 10 + years before it was texas country I find randy's music to be a refreshing change from the new cookie cutter "texas/americana" bands. It takes more than two guitarists a drummer and some whiskey to make truly great music. Great music comes from the heart the randy rogers band's heart comes through in their music. You can't fake that... Get the cd or see them live and you won't regret it.
the violinist is hot - brings a theatrical edge - chin up - cigarette to lip - and bow in wait - ah! make my hormones take notice - yes! and when he strokes the strings - you know you are alive....
All these numnutts who think Randy and his band are not good are complete morons!
Saw him in College Station with Brad Bookout live and acoustic and bought both CD's within 10 minutes of the show.
Great voice complmented with great songwriting.
Definately one of my favs!
Get both CDs and cant wait for the third!

Pure country and western music. Will definately be to Texas Music what George Strait is to Nashville. Pure sounding, best song writing...need to hear him. He deserve's full recognition. good luck randy

Well, someone with Taste. I wish you were someone that can read!! Look at the liner notes and you will see that Randy used his own band to record his record. There have been changes in the band but Randy stays true to boys in the band. In a day where there is a lot of session players on a lot of these Texas acts Cd's, make sure to check before making claims that are not true.
