This is an excellent album. The songwriting is outstanding, the steel and slide work stellar, with very rootsy, no BS production. Kim's voice may be an acquired taste, sounding a little like James McMurtry, but it definitely grows on you. If you are a roots fan, pick this one up, you won't be disappointed.
