Album Review
This may be John's best. It's a wonderful albumn. My wife and I listened to it for the first time this afternoon. We cried and we laughed and and at the end we both said "again"! John Prine wears his soul like an old corduroy jacket. There's no place that it doesn't go.

What's with this site and why aren't there more reviews? Anyway, if you buy only one JP recording this would be the one to get. It's got everything John does so well on it and each song on here is a testament to his great skill and talent as both singer/songwriter and musician as well.

John Prine
Artist Review
Prine is definitely worth of his honorary Texan title, and Souvenirs is an excellent introduction to his pure and simple, yet emotionally charged writing style. He'll make you feel hope, hopelessness, peace and melancholy from line to imagery-filled line. A must buy. Enjoy.

The man is a legion when people ask me what type of music he plays - got to tell them he's in a class by himself
