Using F*** in Finger on the Trigger is what makes the song what it is. Good quality song writing comes pure and raw emotions, not selective word choice so people won't be affended. If you can't look past profanity to enjoy music, like Finger on the Trigger, your going to go through life being a lot more pissed off than the rest of us. If you can't look past the profanity, get off this website, and go buy a Keith Urban CD.

I liked the Cd, but I agree It would be alot better without using F**K in the chorus of Finger on the trigger. Love the song but I won't buy the CD because of that. By the way you can sing without conviction and still be creative without using that level of profanity.

Down In Flames
the lyrics reflect the feeling of the song. it's supposed to be edgy and i think it is what separates this artist from others. cool cd.

Great Music but Down in Flames is kind of hard to top. Was disappointed in the new one Seven.

Mr. Nashville, Texas Music and Red Dirt Music is about writing and singing without convicton. That's what makes this genre special.

Down In Flames
This album has some awesome songs on it, but I lost alot of respect for Brandon Jenkins when I heard him say on The Front Porch Show(99.5 the Wolf) that the song Finger on the Trigger was about redemption and wanting God to forgive him, If thats the case why is he dropping F bombs in the chorus. I love the song but I would much rather have the radio version. If I want to hear a song with f**k in it, I would by a rap CD. In this kind of music, words like that ,in my opinion hurt your best song, your album and your name.

Artist Review
I have to say that Brandon Jenkins has been a delightful addition to my life enjoying good music. I first saw Brandon at Okemah, OK at the Woody Guthrie Festival in 2004. Since then, I have seen him a number of times in and around the Tulsa Area. I'm an old Rock-n-Roller that had beginnings in the folk/pop world of the 60's. Brandon is able to bring all that together in his musical arrangements. Although his music seems to immediately come across as country, after a short time, to the seasoned listener, it is obvious how other artists and genres influence his creations. I have no problem purchasing any new cd that Brandon produces without preview. Brandon, thank you from an old fart country boy, rock-n-roller biker. See you the next time around.
